Shipping Terms

Shipments are made via UPS Ground, unless otherwise specified. Freight charges are prepaid and added to your invoice. We can estimate the freight costs for you.

We can ship freight collect on your account, just provide your UPS Account Number.

We can also ship via the carrier of your choice. Provide the details and your account number.

Products shall be shipped F.O.B. Electro Standards' facility. Title to and risk of loss or damage to the products shall pass to you upon Electro Standards delivery of the products to a carrier for shipment. Title to software will remain with the applicable licensor. Electro Standards' prices do not include shipping and handling charges. Electro Standards reserves the right to use its own discretion in the manner and routing of shipments. Electro Standards shall be permitted to deliver products in separate lots.

Shipping Return Policy

  • To return an item, contact Electro Standards at 401-943-1164 to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. RMA numbers are valid for 30 days after the date of the shipment and cannot be extended or re-issued. We are unable to accept returns without an RMA number.
  • All returns except those of defective product are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and additional charges for handling or freight are refunded only in cases of defective products.
  • Return freight must be shipped prepaid. We recommend that you insure the package as you are responsible for risk of loss on all returned packages. We recommend that all cartons are properly packed as Electro Standards is not responsible for product damaged en route. We do not issue call tags for product returns.
  • Returned product must be clean, undamaged, and complete with all manuals, accessories, documents and packaging. The items must be in a resalable condition.
  • The product must have with it a copy of the original invoice or packing slip and the appropriate RMA paperwork.
  • If your item is not working properly, please contact Electro Standards at 401-943-1164 for help in trouble-shooting your application.
  • If the product is defective, Electro Standards will repair or replace that item (at our discretion) upon receipt and evaluation of the original product.
  • Electro Standards reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days from the invoice date in some cases. If the product is accepted after 30 days, credit will be issued toward future pruchases only and some additional restocking charges may be applied.
  • All credits from RMAs must be used within one calendar year of issue.

Model 7182 RJ45 Connect/Disconnect PoE Interface Switch with Touch Sensitive Display Control & 8-Hour Countdown Programmable Timer

  • Ideal for Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Video Camera Network Installations.

  • Ideal Application: Classified/Controlled areas where wired or wireless network access is desired with a convenient user verifiable/user-controllable positive disconnect capability.

    • (1) RJ45 (F) labeled IN to the switch and requires PoE.
    • (1) RJ45 (F) labeled OUT device port.

    • Does not require a separate power supply.
    • The power to the switch is provided by Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) which is IEEE 802.3at Mode A compliant connected to the RJ45 IN port.

Model 7182 Connect/Disconnet PoE Switch Application:

The diagram illustrates the Model 7182 mounted in the wall. A Multiport PoE switch is connected to the IN port of the Model 7182 and the OUT port is connected to a PoE camera. Using the Touch Sensitive screen, the user can either CONNECT the Multiport PoE Switch to the PoE camera or DISCONNECT the Multiport Poe Switch from the PoE camera.

The drawing illustrates a PoE Switch (Power Source Equipment) connected via RJ45 IN port (IEEE 802.3at, Mode A) with access to CONNECT or DISCONNECT to a PoE Camera (Powered Device) via the RJ45 OUT port (IEEE 802.3af, Mode B).

FEATURES:

  • The switch ports are transparent to all data.
  • All (8) pins of the RJ45 interface are switched via a break-before-make electromechanical relays.
  • The power over Ethernet (PoE) signal from the source device powers the Model 7182.
  • User controllable positive disconnect capability.
  • The digital display indicates countdown time in hours, minutes, and seconds programmable up to 8 hours.
  • Default position of the switch when power is applied is in the Disconnected position.
  • In the Disconnected state, power, and data from the PoE source device connected to the IN port, are physically disconnected from the powered device connected to the OUT port.
  • When the countdown timer is activated and counting down, the switch is in the Connected position, the source device is connected to the powered PoE device.
  • Supports PoE IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at applications.
  • Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) provides power to Model 7182 via the RJ45 IN connector using Mode A (Pins 1,2 DC and Pins 3,6 -DC). See Figure 1.
  • Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) provides power to externally connected devices via the RJ45 OUT Connector using Mode B (Pins 4,5 DC and Pins 7,8 -DC). See Figure 2
  • Supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet.

The Model 7182 RJ45 Connect/Disconnect PoE Switch with Touch Sensitive Display and 8 Hour Countdown Programmable Timer allows the user the capability of connecting/disconnecting a PoE device plugged in line between ports IN and OUT.  The Touch Sensitive Display allows the user to set the connection time interval up to 8 hours and view status whether the Powered Device is connected or disconnected to the PoE Source device.

The Model 7182 provides a Touch Sensitive Display to manage connection of the Ethernet RJ45 PoE connected devices. The Model 7182 switch electronics is neatly enclosed in a dual gang wall box making it easy to install in a new or existing constructed walls. The PoE interface source device powers the Model 7182.
