Audio/Video 9-Channel, Multi-Interface Switch Supports HDMI, Cat5e, & POE

Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, has just announced its new Model 7400 9-Channel A/B Multi-Interface Switch with RS232 Remote Control.  This Audio/Video Switch supports AB switching for 3 channels of Audio with 4-Pin, 3.5mm connectors 3 channels of Video with HDMI connectors and 3 channels of Cat5e with RJ45 connectors.

The Model 7400 can be manually controlled using pushbutton or remotely controlled using RS232 ASCII commands that allow control of switch position, lockout front panel operation, obtain switch status, obtain firmware version number, obtain serial number and enable/disable autosend of switch positions.  In addition, the Model 7400 is also certified for PoE 802.3af & 802.3at Compliance.

The Model 7400 switch electronics are neatly enclosed in a all metal chassis with dimensions of 19.0” W x 3.5” H x 10.2” D (48.3 x 8.9 x 26.0 cm) and weighs approximately 6.8 lbs. (3.1 kg).  This double gang wall box configuration makes it easy to install in new or newly constructed walls.
