CE Certified, RoHS Compliant, A/B Switch Provides Critical Network Switching for Fiber Optic Networks
CE Certified, RoHS Compliant, A/B Switch Provides Critical Network Switching for Fiber Optic Networks
August 16, 2011
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the new QuickSwitch® Model 6254 that is both CE Certified and RoHS compliant. Four independent channels of A/B switching provide critical backup for fiber optic networks. Simple switching from (4) front-panel pushbuttons quickly switch network connections without having to plug and unplug cables.
The Model 6254 can also be remotely controlled via Telnet commands or GUI from a 10/100 Base-T LAN Ethernet environment to switch position, lockout front panel pushbuttons and monitor switch status. In the event of a power loss, the Model 6254 will retain last switch position and continue to pass data. When power is restored, the unit will maintain its position and continue to pass data.
Each of the four channels of the Model 6254 allows quick connection to any one of two LC interface devices from one Common device utilizing MEMS-based mirror/prism switch technology and supporting Gigabit data rates. Featuring LC duplex, multimode, and 50/125 micron fiber ports, the Model 6254 supports a wavelength of 850nm.
