ESL Annnounces its New Family of Normal/Bypass Switches
November 16, 2007
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new family of Normal/Bypass Switches, E1 Interface with Remote Control. This switch allows new equipment to be added to or bypassed from E1 data links.
The switches are packaged in a rackmount enclosure. Front-panel indicators and pushbutton controls allow the operator to observe switch status, override the remote or automatic control, and to operate the switch manually. The rear panel has RJ48 connectors for cable connection to the E1 link and the new equipment. A DB-9 Remote Control connector on the rear panel has serial data interface and allows remote operation and monitoring of the switch. The switch is programmed so that detection of power loss or data activity loss returns the switch position to Bypass mode. Power is provided by an external plug-in supply that allows operation at 90-230 Volts AC, 50/60 Hz.
