Job Opportunity: DO-178C SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

We are seeking a consultant to provide program management for the oversight & compliance of DO-178C Software Development Standards for government projects. This will include technical management & training of engineering staff, as well as time & resource management for engineering projects.

This is a contract position. Electro Standards Laboratories is a leading edge technology engineering design and development company.

NOTE: US Citizenship is required, due to work with US Department of Defense.

Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing DO-178C Software Development & Compliance Standards
  • Experience with Microsoft Project & Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Minimum BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • US Citizenship

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight & Compliance of DO-178C Software Development Standards
  • Technical Management & Training of Engineering Staff on DO-178C Compliance
  • Time & Resource Management for Software Engineering Projects.
  • Accomplishes objectives by planning, training, monitoring, and communicating job expectations; and reviewing job performance to ensure DO-178C compliance.
  • Meets compliance objectives by analyzing variances/weaknesses and initiating corrective actions and assigning deadlines.
  • Documenting ESL’s DO-178C compliance policies and procedures
  • Plans projects by determining specifications; selecting resources; establishing schedules; integrating requirements with external customer and/or subcontractor design requirements; verifying code requirements; updating cost estimates.
  • Completes projects by supervising staff design efforts.
