M4325 New Low-Cost, Mini-Sized, Super-Smart Digital Signal Conditioner!

November 16, 2007
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, has just announced that their new Low-Cost, Mini-Sized, Super-Smart Digital Signal Conditioner, Model 4325, is currently in production. This unit is available in a small, 5.5” x 2.75” x 1.2” size, or as an even smaller board that can be built into a load cell.

This Super-Smart Digital Signal Conditioner connects directly to a standard strain gauge transducer such as a load cell or extensometer, and generates a +/-10V analog output along with a serial digital output suitable for connection to a computer. The Super-Smart Model 4325 can compensate for transducer nonlinearities using its integrated six-point calibration capability not found in standard signal conditioners.

This compact Model 4325 is ideally suited for in-situ transducer conditioning and distributed process measurements. Its multi-drop RS232 serial port and simple command set allow for connection of multiple units in a serial network configuration. Features include nonvolatile memory for parameter and calibration storage, ability to select between two transducers, multi-point and mV/V calibration, remote sense excitation, and 24-bit internal resolution with 16-bit analog output. This unit is field-programmable for software updates.
