M4406 RJ45 A/B Switch with Manual & Remote Control
M4406 RJ45 A/B Switch with Manual & Remote Control
May 1, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electro Standards just introduced its new PathWay® Model 4406 A/B Switch that switches between two RJ45 interface devices locally or remotely by sending a trigger character sequence to the unit. Control commands sent to the remote port enables the user to switch between two separate RJ45 devices or to monitor the current network switch status. The Model 4406 may be controlled manually via a front panel pushbutton or remotely from the RS-232 serial remote port.
Switch position status is displayed by front panel LEDs and can also be queried by a PC connected to the Remote RS-232 port. Switch position and signal integrity is maintained even during a power failure. Optional Windows compatible control software is available. The rugged aluminum case provides shielding.
