M4520 DB15 A/B Switch w/Remote Control (Contact Closure)
June 4, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new Model 4520 DB15 Interface A/B Network Switch. The A, B, and COMMON ports are DB15/female. This data network switch allows a device connected to the COMMON port to be shared between two devices; one connected to Port A, the other to Port B. For local control use front-panel pushbutton. The Model 4520 network switch includes a DB9 Remote port. A simple dry contact closure across the specified pins of the Remote port provides the change position command to the switch. Lockout pins on the Remote port, when shorted, lockout front panel control of the switch position.
The Model 4520 network switch supports switching all 15 signals of the DB15 connector interface. Copper contacts permit signals to pass through the switch. This network switch is transparent to data and speed. The data network switch maintains position and signal pathway.
