Model 4215-L / LVDT Smart Indicator

Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, has just announced its Model 4215L Advanced Digital LVDT Meter. A Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) comprises a series of inductors in a hollow cylindrical shaft and a solid cylindrical core. The LVDT produces an electrical output proportional to the position of the core. The LVDT can be used in many types of measuring devices that need to convert changes in physical position to an electrical output.

The 4215L, designed to work with dual LVDT expansion measurement fixtures, provides all the excitation and signal conditioning necessary to operate the measurement fixtures. The average extension is computed automatically and displayed. The 4215L also features analog outputs, limit switching, individual unit conversion and a two-line display. Factory options support mixing and matching of strain gauge and LVDT sensor inputs. Customization is available.
