Model 7175 Provides Exclusive Remote Control Switching between (2) DB25 Devices When Pushbutton Control is not Warranted
June 28, 2019
Electro Standards Laboratories introduces Model 7175 Single Channel DB25 A/B Switch with Contact Control Remote and 24VDC power. Ideal for device-sharing applications, eliminating the need for plugging and unplugging cables in order to switch devices. Allows a DB25 device connected to the COM port access to DB25 devices on the other two ports, switching positions from A to B via dry contact logic from a computer or device in a remote location.
The Model 7175 is designed to support “remote control only” applications, so there is no local control/front panel pushbutton on this unit. All 25 pins of the DB25 interface are switched via break-before-make electromechanical relays. A, B, and Common ports are DB25 female port connectors. The switch ports are transparent to all data.
The Model 7175 requires customer supplied 24 VDC, 500 mA power input. The unit maintains last set position on power loss and continues to pass data. Upon power up, unit switches based on the state of the contact closure.
