Model 7365 Offers Remote Control Switching via iPhone App

The PathWay® Model 7365 is a dual channel A/B Switch that allows access to two RJ45/48 T1 networks from one COMMON network or device for each of its two channels.  The Model 7365 also has remote access functionality via Contact Closure, Telnet, GUI and now an option to control the switch via an iPhone App.

The ESL Switch Remote App allows remote access to any number of ESL Switches from anywhere the units can be reached on a network.  With the ESL Switch Remote App, the units can be controlled and queried with the ease and simplicity of a touchscreen on your iPhone, iPad or IPod Touch. 

The Model 7365 features switch ports that are transparent to all data and all (8) pins of the RJ45/48 interface are switched.  Simultaneous control of both channels can be accessed either remotely or locally.  Local, manual control of the unit can be performed via a front panel pushbutton.   Remote control of the switch can be accessed via several options. The DB9 port on rear panel of the unit accepts Contact Closure transition signals for remote operation.  The Model 7365 can also be remotely controlled via an RJ45 connector on rear panel that accepts 10/100Base-T LAN Ethernet and uses both TELNET commands and a GUI Interface for remote control.

The Model 7365’s newest feature is remote control via an iPhone App.  This feature allows users to create a unit profile to save settings for each unit and list all saved unit profiles for fast checking of all units at once. Users can also send remote commands to a connected unit, remotely switch between positions, lock and unlock the front panel operation, if applicable.   This Switch Remote App also allows users to query the current position, stay up to date with any changes made by other means, including the front panel pushbuttons and the remote port where applicable, configure connection profiles for each unit for quick switching between IP addresses and keep a list of all purchased license keys for easy access. This ESL Remote App is compatible with iPhone, IPod Touch, and iPad Requires iOS 4.0 or later.
