Model 9438 Ideal for Sharing Up to 6 Serial Peripheral Devices from 1 Controller

Electro Standards Laboratories of Cranston, Rhode Island has added Model 9438 6-Position DB9 Switcher to its LineSelect® product line. This unit offers quick, convenient, and secure access to any six DB9 ports (A,B,C,D,E, and F) from a Common Port.  This allows secure control of 6 different networks, devices, PC’s or other DB9 interfaced peripherals from one computer/controller. The Model 9438 Switch provides the capability of individual switching control between each port/device without having to unplug and plug in DB9 cables from the units. Since the switch box is manually controlled by turning a knob, it is a lower cost, more reliable and secure compared to other network switching alternatives. Model 9438 is part of Electro Standards Laboratories’ LineSelect product line that provide reliable, secure switching without any power required for a cost effective, yet reliable and secure approach for your network.

All ports on the back panel of the box have DB9 female connectors and are labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, and COMMON.  The switch position will be indicated by the front panel rotary knob. The Model 9438 utilizes a high quality sealed switch with self-wiping precious metal contacts. All 9 pins of the DB9 interface are switched via break-before-make rotary. Ideal for use in sharing serial peripheral devices like keyboards, mice, joysticks, etc..
