Model 9462 5-channel CAT5e RJ45 A/B/C Switch, Manual, Independent Switching

Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the Model 9462 5-channel CAT5e RJ45 A/B/C switch. This manually operated switch features independent switching in a slim rackmount configuration. The Model 9462 enables the user to access three 10/100/1000 Base-T CAT5e networks for each channel. Each switch is factory-tested for CAT5e compliance.

Each of the five channels allows quick connection to any one of three networks from one COMMON network. The user can independently switch each of the five channels via five front-panel rotary switches. The switch supports all 8 pins of the RJ45 CAT5e interface. The Model 9462 efficiently conserves panel space by incorporating five complete A/B/C switches into a 1U panel height (1.75”). The switch dimensions are 19.0” W x 1.75” H x 8.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm) and weighs approximately 6.5 lbs. (2.9 Kg). This unit is available for export worldwide.

The Model 9462 is a high-quality switch that incorporates reliable sealed switch components with self-wiping low-impedance contacts. The port connectors are (4) RJ45 female connectors labeled A, B, C and COMMON, for each of the 5 channels.  The front-panel control features (5) rotary switches to select the A, B or C position for each of the 5 channels.

This manually operated switch requires no power and eliminates the need to plug and unplug cables.  The attractive anodized black box packaging provides EMI/RFI shielding. The meticulously designed and manufactured Model 9462 comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects. CAT5e patchcords in any length are available from the company for switch installation. For more information on the Model 9462, call 401-943-1164 or email eslab@electrostandards.com.
