PathWay® Model 7197 BNC Switch Provides 4-Position Switching with RS422 Remote
January 16, 2012
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The PathWay® Model 7197 BNC A/B/C/D Switch from Electro Standards Laboratories allows the user the capability of sharing a single port interface device among four other devices connected to the A, B, C, and D ports. This compact, desktop switch allows the selection of signals from any one of four BNC interfaced devices via front panel pushbutton control or RS422 remote operation.
The Model 7197 features a DB9 Remote connector on rear panel that accepts ASCII RS422 Serial Data commands to allow the user to control switch position, lockout front panel operations and obtain switch status from a remote location. The switch ports of the unit are transparent to all data with both the center pin and shell of the BNC interface switched. The switch also maintains position on power loss and continues to pass data. The Model 7197 also has an optional CE and UL listed table mount power module, 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz in place of standard, available as Cat. No. 517277.
