FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new QuickSwitch Model 4192 Fiber Optic SC Duplex A/B/C/D/Off-Line switch with Remote control. This unit is offered in a sleek rackmount configuration. Model 4192 allows a fiber optic device connected to the SC duplex COMMON connector of the unit to access any of four fiber optic networks connected to the A, B, C, or D ports, or to disconnect completely from all output ports. Wavelength is 850nm. This switch incorporates MEMS-based multimode mirror switch technology.
The Model 4192 switch position can be changed via front panel pushbuttons or via a device connected to the Remote port. Applying the appropriate voltage to designated pins of the Remote connector will cause the switch to change position. For details, click here.
