Remote Control Unit Supports Model 7392, 7276 and 7266 A/B Switches
Remote Control Unit Supports Model 7392, 7276 and 7266 A/B Switches
December 17, 2012
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electro Standards Laboratories has designed the Model 4077 2-Channel Remote Control Unit to support up to two A/B Switch Models 7392, 7276 or 7266. The Model 4077 is a low profile unit that provides Contact Closure signals to control the two remotely located switches with a flip of a switch.
The Model 4077 utilizes two separate RJ45 connector ports, labeled CHANNEL 1 and CHANNEL 2, to run separate cables to the pair of remotely located switches being controlled. On the rear of the Models 7392, 7276 and 7266 are DB15 Control ports. Both channels of the Model 4077 are controlled simultaneously. Each channel of the Model 4077 has a dedicated pair of LED’s to display the status of each of the units connected.
The Model 7392 is a single channel RS232/RS530 switch that can be remotely controlled with the Model 4077 control unit via DB15 port located on the rear of the unit. The Model 7392 A/B Switch allows the sharing of two RS232/RS530 serial interface devices from one common device. This unit features an Automatic Sensing Mode to allow automatic switching between ports A and B by monitoring data activity on both A and B ports. Unit can be set to monitor RD activity or DCD presence of both ports A and B. The Model 7392 can also be controlled manually via a front panel pushbutton. The Model 7276 is another A/B Switch that can be controlled remotely with Model 4077 via DB15 port on rear of unit. It can also be controlled manually via a front panel pushbutton. This switch functions similarly to the Model 7392, however in Automatic Sensing Mode, the Model 7276 monitors RD activity or DCD presence on port A only. This switch is also certified to be compliant with several EMC and Safety Regulations. The Model 7266 is another network switch that can be remotely controlled via Model 4077 through contact closure or manually controlled via front panel pushbutton. The Model 7266 allows quick connection to any one of two devices from one Common device, eliminating the need to plug and unplug cables. The Model 7266 is transparent to data speed and format and switches all signal pins. Pins 1 (shield) and 7 (signal ground) are bussed through.
