SCUPS Super Capacitors for Energy Storage Provide a Very Low Maintenance Solution with Extremely High Cycle Life

 Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, introduces a Super Capacitor Uninterruptible Power Supply designed to provide backup DC power to nominal 12VDC system in the event that the primary power supply is interrupted.  The unit is available as a board-only unit, Model 1026, for easy integration into user equipment or supplied as a standalone package as desktop version, Model 1027.

The use of the super capacitor for energy storage provides a very low maintenance solution with extremely high cycle life and without the shelf life concerns of typical battery backup systems.  The SCups® is perfect for low power remote systems where primary power can be interrupted. Typical applications include remote locations with intermittent grid power or renewable energy systems such as solar power systems.

A User Manual is included with SCups® Model 1027 and Model 1026 detailing UPS System Operations, Charge and Discharge Characteristics, Performance and Hardware Specifications. It also includes UPS Integration Wiring Diagrams and Block Diagrams. 

The Model 1027 Desktop unit dimensions are 7.760” x 5.550” x 1.550” with a weight of 1.8 pounds (including super capacitor).  The dimensions of Model 1026 board are 6.5” x 4.75” x 1.125”, with a weight of 16.3 oz (also including super capacitor).  For further specifications visit product web pages at www.electrostandards.com
