The Ultimate Firewall: Pathway M7394 Cat6 RJ45 Online/Offline Switch

Electro Standards Laboratories of Cranston, Rhode Island is an electronic products design and manufacturing business. The model 7394 is the newest addition to the PathWay product line and is certified for Cat6 compliance. This unit allows a quick connection or disconnection between two Cat6 RJ45 networks/devices and equipped with a secure offline position that ensures absolutely NO data passes through when in offline mode.

The M7394 allows the user capability of connecting two separate devices via an online or offline connection. To connect, the unit uses two RJ45 female shielded port connectors labeled A and COM, and one DB9 remote port, all located on the rear panel. These switch ports are transparent to all data. Connections are switched via break-before-make electromechanical relays. Upon power loss, the unit auto switches to the offline position. Upon power up, the unit switches according to the last state of the contact closure remote management. The switch position and power status are displayed using the LEDs on the front panel. This can be controlled using the front panel pushbutton or remotely via the remote DB9 port. This DB9 female connector is located on the rear panel and accepts dry contact closure switch commands. The use of an offline channel, as well as the combined local and remote control, this switcher makes for the ultimate firewall by preventing unauthorized access into or out of the network connection.

 This ultimate firewall switch is enclosed in a 1U, full rack size, all metal black chassis designed to provide EMI/RFI shielding and fit in a standard 19” rack. The unit can be used to support a quick connection for various building intelligence, and professional and IT services with a secure cyber-physical solution. Power required for the Unit is an UL approved 100VAC-240VAC, 50Hz-60Hz wall mount power module that supplies 12VDC. A wide range power option is available and ideal for international applications. Cat # 517277 is CE, RoHS, and UL listed, table mounted power module for use in place of the standard power module.
